Practice Nurse – Approx 30hrs pw

Job summary

This is a great opportunity to join our friendly clinical team, looking after our practice population of approx 7500 patients

This is a varied and challenging role and will include a wide range of treatment room consultations

Main duties of the job

Meeting patients’ nursing care needs as identified

Providing a full range of treatment room services to our patients

Initiating and maintaining health screening and promotion clinics for identified areas of the practice population

Papworth Surgery is a lovely practice. We have an exceptional multi-disciplinary team, including nurses, healthcare assistants, physiotherapist, clinical pharmacist, health and wellbeing coach, who work alongside our GPs to ensure our patients receive the best care possible. We have 4 partners and 3 salaried GPs.

We have free on-site parking.

General treatment room duties and procedures

Chronic disease management

Collection of pathological specimens

Investigatory procedures at the request of the GP

Care of equipment and maintenance of stock levels

Maintain clear and accurate notes of consultations within the computerised record

Participate in in-house training as required

Essential

  • Good standard of general education
  • Registered Nurse
  • Membership of professional body
